For this brief, we were required to choose an artist from 9 options. We were meant to get their autobiography, 8-10 of their artworks, and 8 of their famous quotes. All of this information was meant to be showcased in the form of a booklet.
The design of the booklet, and what that was to be made up of was left entirely up to us.
The focus of this project was based on typography, imagery and the functionality of the booklet.
My chosen artist was Jessica Walsh, as I was inspired by her story, her use of colours and the No-Filter campaign.
The booklet was made using perspex as the front and back cover, with Jessica Walsh painted on the front, and graphic designer, art director and illustrator painted on the back. A sheet of velvet paper was placed right at the front, as the first item in the booklet. This can be seen through the perspex - giving it texture.
The pages of the booklet was multi-coloured - following the chosen colour pallet.
